MEET HALEY

owner, creative director

The many loves of my life include my family, dancing, reading, and of course, flowers. I can often be found at the creek playing with my kids, cuddling some of our chickens, or tending to our flower and veggie garden. I love to eat all types of foods, especially Indian food and cheese, so I obviously love any paneer dish. With a background in ballet and modern dance, and a love for the natural world, my floral arrangements tend to take on a soft, flowing, organic aesthetic. I love to use bright colors and unexpected, textural elements like berries, flower pods, and more.

MEET MARY

lead designer, studio manager

Mary is a consummate multi-hyphenate, having spent the last ten years engaged in a variety of creative mediums— from photography to event design to community engagement. Mary’s creative passions have always stemmed from the desire to help others realize their vision, and she brings this same passion and excitement to her work with Cedar & Lime Collective.  Working with flowers, both in personal and professional settings, has always sparked a special kind of creative energy for Mary, and she’s thrilled to step into the world of floral design full time!

When not in the C&L studio, you can find Mary exploring the DMV with her husband and daughter, petting other people’s dogs or searching for her next iced coffee.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Sustainability

Whenever possible, we use fresh, seasonal, local flowers for our arrangements. We are committed to providing our clients with the best possible flowers, and to us, that means locally grown. We create gorgeous floral designs, using naturally and healthfully grown flowers, while promoting and supporting a more sustainable local floral industry. Through purchasing local flowers, we are able to support our local economy. We are closely partnered with local flower farms and are able to be fully involved in the growing process, supporting our farmers along the way.

With every event, we focus on sustainability. We have almost completely eliminated single use plastic and floral foam from our designs. We compost any floral waste and reuse vessels and hard goods whenever possible. When our flowers don't come locally, we recycle any and all packaging.
